A VAN was found "well alight" following a suspected arson attack.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a barn fire on Clay Lane in the Burtonwood area of Warrington last night.
However, upon arrival at around 11.30pm, crews instead found a van on fire.
"Crews were called to reports of a barn on fire, but on arrival found a van well alight," said a CFRS spokesperson.
"Wearing breathing apparatus they used a hose reel water jet to extinguish it.
"Police were informed as it is believed the fire was started deliberately."
One fire engine from Warrington and two from Penketh were sent to the scene.
Cheshire Police has been contacted for further information.
