HERE is a sight you don’t see.
Not just a steam train, although some do still make it through Warrington Bank Quay on occasions, but drivers stuck at a crossing in Lymm.
This picture has been sent to the Lymm Heritage and Information Centre and shows the level crossing on Whitbarrow Road near the long defunct Lymm Station.
There have long been hopes that the line could be reopened and join up with the existing Metro system through Manchester.
The heritage group aims to spread the word about heritage in Lymm.
