A WOOLSTON resident is appealing for help to trace her pet falcon that escaped her home this week.
Julie Smith last saw her beloved tribrid falcon Autumn four days ago when she was out in her garden enjoying the last of the summer weather.
The 48-year-old said the cause of Autumn’s release was down to ‘equipment failure’ after the straps on the bird’s feet snapped and she broke free.
Explaining the last sightings of Autumn, Julie said: “She was in Woolston, then in Birchwood, then in Glazebrook late afternoon yesterday.
“She is nine years old, and she is a pest control bird.”
Julie’s partner Karl Green takes Autumn to work with him as she assists him in his role at Northwest Bird Control.
Autumn has brown and white markings and has ‘leather straps dangling from her legs’.
As Julie has shared her appeal to locate the falcon on social media, various residents from across Warrington have shared posts and commented their support and hope that she is found safely.
Julie is asking that anyone who spots Autumn should contact her immediately.
“I am desperate to get her home,” Julie said. “We both really miss her. She will be getting hungry.
“If anyone thinks they see her, please take a picture and send it to my number 07833215250 so I can see if it is definitely her.”
