DAMAGE was caused to property at a children’s nursery following a shocking break-in over the weekend.
A gang of youths gained entry into First Choice Nursery, based at Relentless Church on Thewlis Street in Sankey Bridges, on Sunday.
Once inside, the delinquents sprayed offensive graffiti on walls and smashed a glass door.
Police are investigating the break-in and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 5pm on Sunday, September 17, police were called to reports of a burglary at a business premises on Thewlis Street, Warrington.
“The caller reported that six youths, aged approximately 11 to 13, had forced entry into a children’s nursery.
“Once inside, the youths spayed offensive messages on the walls and smashed a glass door. They also broke into a shed containing outdoor furniture and baby toys.
“Officers attended the property and an investigation has been launched.”
