THE mother of Brianna Ghey, who was killed in February, has spoken on Good Morning Britain about a campaign in memory of her daughter.
Brianna was killed in February at the age of 16, and was found with multiple stab wounds in Culcheth Linear Park.
Now, her mum - Esther - has teamed up with the Warrington Guardian in a bid to ensure that Brianna has a lasting legacy.
Launching the Peace in Mind campaign last week, it is hoped that money can be raised in order to train school staff in mindfulness practices, which will allow them to provide more support for schoolchildren.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain about the campaign on Friday, September 15, Esther explained what the aims of the campaign are.
When asked by Kate Garraway about what she hopes the campaign will achieve, Esther said: "With the Warrington Guardian, I've launched a campaign called Peace in Mind.
"We're aiming to get all schools with mindfulness training in the UK - starting with Warrington."
Ben Shephard asked what is meant when the campaign uses the term 'mindfulness.'
Esther said: "Mindfulness helps you to live in the present moment; it stops you from worrying about the future, or worrying about what's happened in the past.
"I've found that it has really benefited me, and I just wanted others to experience the benefits that I've had."
'The aim is for all schools to get mindfulness training in the UK.'

Kate Garraway said: "You must have needed every tool in your armoury to deal with what you've been through; has it helped to try and [make] something good out of this terrible tragedy?"
Speaking about her focus being on the Peace in Mind campaign, Esther said: "Yeah, it's really helped.
"Just keeping busy with something that's so positive, and just hoping that I can help other people who are struggling with their mental health, as Brianna did."
Esther was joined by Emma Mills, headteacher at Brianna's school, Birchwood High.
Emma is backing the Peace in Mind campaign and told Good Morning Britain: "Brianna was a huge presence around school, and such an inspiration to others.
"Our corridors are a lot quieter without her, that's for sure."
