THE head of Barrowhall College expressed her extreme ‘pride’ for all her sixth form students as they received their A-Level results this morning, Thursday.
Straight A*s were among some of the fantastic results that came from pupils who attend the Great Sankey college and university places granted to students were as high as 96 per cent across the year.
The Warrington Guardian headed onto campus to see the reactions of excited youngsters as they found out their achievements.

Among the high achievers was Django Flint who received four A*s and a B in maths, further maths, physics and geography, and an EPQ.
He said it has always been his ‘dream’ to attend the University of Oxford and this is exactly where he will be heading in October to study Mathematics.
“It is a bit surreal. I have worked hard,” he said. “I love Oxford as a place and it’s an opportunity to meet people at the top of their game.”
Michael Chan successful achieved three A*s and one A in physics, chemistry, maths and biology.
He said he was ‘satisfied’ with his grades and is excited to attend the Imperial College of London to study chemical engineering.
While many students were awaiting confirmation of their place in their chosen university, plenty of others have great apprenticeships lined up in policing, law, film production and resource management.
Hannah Rowland was proud to have achieved three Bs in economics, geography and business and will be attending her chosen placement of Northumbria University to study economics and finance.
Helen Stones, head of Barrowhall, summarised the day, saying: “I am incredibly proud about a fantastic set of results achieved by everyone after the challenges they have had to face.
“We have had a great morning full of lots of happy students.
“Students are going to a range of destinations and are continuing their studies across the country and taking on lots of different apprenticeships.”
