WARRRINGTON’S mini David Attenborough has landed his own TV show alongside the BAFTA-winning Steve Backshall.
Eight-year-old Aneeshwar Kunchala will star in a new CBeebies show with Steve who is known for his adrenaline-filled adventures on CBBC’s Deadly 60.
Steve and Aneeshwar Go Wild will follow the duo as they meet exotic animals from all around the world in zoos and safari parks.
In each episode, the pair will come face to face with two creatures and reveal the surprising and unusual ways in which they are connected in the wild.
Young environmental environmentalist and St Philip Westbrook CE Primary School pupil Aneeshwar made it to the finals on Britain’s Got Talent last year.
Here, he inspired audiences with his poems about environmental conservation.
And he is already a Guinness World Record holder for the youngest documentary maker as well as a British Citizen Youth Award winner for his contributions to the natural world, climate change and sustainability in the Warrington community - as well as a Warrington Guardian Education Award winner.
Kate Morton, head of commissioning and acquisitions 0-6, BBC Children’s: “BBC Children’s plays a crucial role in educating, informing and entertaining children across the UK, and Steve and Aneeshwar Go Wild is a shining example of our commitment to factual entertainment that does exactly that.
“Learning about the environment is more important than ever for young children, and it’s not just about the educational value, it’s about having great fun along the way!
“We’re looking forward to delighting and surprising young children and their families and leaving them feeling connected to the natural world and inspired by the wonderful species around us all.”
Steve and Aneeshwar Go Wild will be available on the CBeebies channel and BBC iPlayer from Monday, August 14.
Aneeshwar also currently has an art exhibition on display at Warrington Museum.
Presenting Wake Me Up Before You Dodo, Aneeshwar’s goal is to show the beauty of wildlife through his art and how little changes in our lives can help a variety of creatures impacted by issues such as habitat loss, pollution, poaching and climate change.
It is Aneeshwar's second exhibition after an incredible opportunity as a guest artist at The Kennedy Center’s RiverRun festival in Washington.
Images of some of Aneeshwar’s favourite animals are on display, including the lemur leaf frog, Bengal tiger and peregrine falcon.
