LATCHFORD'S Cheshire Cheese is celebrating its first-ever music festival being a resounding success.
The festival, which was coined 'Cheesefields,' took place on Saturday, July 29.
Ahead of the event, the organisers - landlord Alex, and manager Gemma - explained that the festival sold out in a matter of days.
All 300 tickets for the festival sold out in less than one week.
The festival took place almost one year from the date that the pub started hosting live music.
Gemma said at the time: "Next month is a year since we started putting music on - we started last August.
"Since then it's just grown.
"And we've booked a lot of local bands, and we tried to give unsigned bands that platform."
When asked how the festival played out, Gemma told the Warrington Guardian: "What a day it was!
"The atmosphere was incredible, the staff, crew, artists and vendors worked their socks off.
"We’ve already booked the date for next year and will be looking for bands soon.
"There’s been some massive support online too which is great."
A special stage was constructed at the back of the pub in order to accommodate the various bands who performed at Cheesefields, which was made possible through a generous donation from sponsors of the event.
Speaking during the build-up to the event, landlord Alex Wright said: "The sponsors have gifted lots of money, they've been brilliant.
"And local businesses wanted to support it, too."
More than one week before the festival there were around 100 people on a waiting list to secure a ticket for the festival, showing how beloved the pub is.
The organisers were initially worried about the festival, as they had never hosted anything of the like before - but they needn't have been concerned, as it all went without a hitch.
Commenting on social media, one local said: "I passed a few times and it looked amazing, you must have all worked so hard - just gutted I wasn't there, but I will be there next year."
Another added: "Would happily pay more; thanks for putting names and faces to the bands on [social media] quite a few I'd like to hear again."
