Next on the list was the search for Warrington’s Best for Beauty and Bella You in Great Sankey took the latest Best of 2023 crown.
Suzanne is fully qualified in hair and makeup as well as massage and sports massage and she’s just completed her level 3 in education and training.
She’s worked at various locations around Warrington including Top Shop where she was asked to open her first braid bar concession and she works mobile travelling all over the north west for photography shoots, weddings, parties and holistic events.
Suzanne, who has lived in Great Sankey all her life, said: “I don’t have a fancy shop as I prefer to work from home.
“I can work early mornings or late evenings and fit clients in around my children.
“My clients are as young as four and in their 60s – I see people of all ages.
“They like my holistic approach and know they can really switch off and be pampered.
“I love nothing more than glamming up the ladies of Warrington, braiding the hair of an excited little girl or attending beautiful bespoke weddings.”
Suzanne has a background in sport and health having worked in spas and on makeup counters but wanted to implement what she’s learnt over the years in her own business.
She said: “I love holistics and helping others and massage is something I’ve always loved to do.
“It doesn’t feel like work - seeing children and adults leave their appointment feeling calm and happy is really important.
“We must all take care of our own mental health and mindfulness is so important.
“Life can be hard and it’s important we find healthy ways of coping – holistics combined with hair and makeup help my customers look good on the inside and the outside, which boosts confidence and self love.
Suzanne added: “Braids are still as popular as ever.
“The ultimate makeup and hair package, and also my massage package, is very popular.
“Many of my clients ask for a head massage before they get their hair styled.
“It’s those little touches that really make a difference.”
But what do Bella You’s customers think about the business? Why did they want Suzanne to win the latest title?
One nomination said: “Suzanne is an incredibly talented lady who truly puts her heart and soul into making look and feel beautiful.
“She deserves all the recognition for her hard work.”
The past few years have been tough for Suzanne and other small business owners so she was delighted to learn she’d made the shortlist in our search to find Warrington’s Best for Beauty 2023.
Suzanne said: “Reading my customers’ comments and the reasons why they were nominating me was very special and I’m so grateful for their support.
“It wasn’t just about winning - reading everyone’s kind words has been amazing.
“Having said that, I was over the moon to find out I’d won.
“I don’t take this lightly as I know there are so many talented artists in this category.
“It’s a special award as it’s based in Warrington and every single vote means so much.”
She added: “I wouldn’t have a business without my wonderful clients.
“I’ve worked so hard to keep my business going and it’s all been worth it.”
