A CARE home in Burtonwood has been forced to temporarily close its doors.
This is due to a number of cases of Covid-19 reported in the home.
According to a post on social media, the Old Vicarage care home, off Fir Tree Lane, has taken the measure due to cases of the virus being detected at the home.
The post explains that no visitors will be allowed at the home, though those visiting end-of-life residents will be permitted.
Taking to social media, the Old Vicarage said: "Unfortunately, due to some cases of Covid-19 we are going to have to close the home except for relatives of End-of-Life residents.
"We will update further once we know more from infection control.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support."
