A WALKING group set up to make new friends while enjoying some fresh air and exercise has begun in Fearnhead.
Resident Rebecca Wilson started the group this month and hopes to grow its 10 members into a sociable weekly activity the community will get behind.
The route the walkers usually take passes through Fearnhead and Cinnamon Brown, with it frequently changing from day-to-day.
Rebecca said: "I am autistic and diabetic and I was inspired to make the group for my own health and to help people get more motavated to walk.
“We go at our own pace; any age or mobility are welcome as well as dog walkers.
“It is a short 30-minute walk, anyone interested please feel free to join and its free.”
Days for the walks differ, but all information is regularly updated on the walking group Facebook page Positive Steps.
Rebecca added: "This group is for anyone any age who would like to get moving more and to make friends and enjoy the local area and outside."
