A MAN was found dead in Llandudno after his body was discovered in woodland.

Christopher Wheeldon, of Hetherington Avenue, Warrington, died aged 41 on Saturday, July 8.

At the opening of the inquest into his death, held in Ruthin yesterday, Monday, it was heard that another male found his body in a woodland area near Trinity Crescent at about 11.25am on July 8.

Mr Wheeldon, a railway worker, was later found at the same location by police.

A post-mortem examination was carried out and a provisional cause of death was given.

John Gittins, senior coroner for north Wales east and central, adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
