A MAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Latchford.
The incident took place at around 1.40pm this afternoon, Wednesday.
According to a local, the incident occurred near to the Cheshire Cheese pub, on Knutsford Road.
It was confirmed by Cheshire Police that following the road traffic collision (RTC) an ambulance was requested, as well as an air ambulance.
The incident took place when a purple Ford Fiesta collided with a pedestrian.
According to the police spokesperson, a section of the road heading out of Latchford is closed, but traffic coming from Wilderspool and Grappenhall is not affected.
Police officers remain on the site conducting investigative work.
It is understood that the pedestrian involved has been taken to Salford Hospital, and as of the latest update given to Cheshire Police he has sustained serious injuries but they are not life-threatening.
