EIGHT weeks of roadworks will take place in Padgate this summer.
The work will begin on Monday, July 24 for eight weeks on Green Lane, near to Padgate Station, and Station Road.
Closures will be implemented in phases during the period with closures necessary to allow Scottish Power to carry out network improvement work.
The work and closures will be on Green Lane (southeast bound traffic) from its junction with Blackbrook Avenue to its junction with Whitchurch Close; and Station Road (southwest bound traffic) from its junction with Harpers Road to its junction with Blackbrook Avenue.
Access will be under the control of the relevant contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative routes will be: Green Lane (southeast bound traffic) via Padgate Lane, King Edward Street and Manchester Road; Station Road (southwest bound traffic) via Harpers Road, Woolston Grange Avenue, Birchwood Way and Blackbrook Avenue.
They will be signposted when necessary.
