A murder trial of a ‘loving son’ is set to take place next month.
James Ireland is charged with the murder of Billy Moore in Bewsey before Christmas last year.
Cheshire Police officers attended an address on Yardley Avenue shortly before 10.45pm on Thursday, December 22 following reports that a man had sustained serious injuries.
It was later confirmed in court that the man had received ‘multiple stab wounds’ and on Christmas Eve last year the body was confirmed to be that of 31-year-old Billy Moore.
Ireland was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder on Christmas Eve, and later charged with murder on Boxing Day.
The defendant, of Lodge Lane in Bewsey, entered a not guilty plea to the murder charge before Liverpool Crown Court on January 23.
A pre-trial review took place this morning, Monday, at Liverpool Crown Court to discuss ongoing legal details involving the case which is due to go to trial on July 10.
The court heard the case is set to take place that week.
