A FORMER cop will spill his best stories from 20 years in the service in an unmissable comedy sketch at the Pyramid.
Alfie Moore previously worked for the Humberside Police before deciding he wanted to take his career in a totally different direction and become a comedian instead.
Now the observational comic shares his witty, and often gritty, anecdotes about modern day policing on the radio and with audiences up and down the country.
His new tour will see him present A Face For Radio at Pyramid on February 29 next year.
Alfie, who began his career at Sheffield Steelworks before inhabiting the life of a copper on the beat, made his career U-Turn at the age of 40.
Since then, his unique and insightful stories have made him a complete success, with him gaining his first big break on ITV’s Show Me The Funny, hosted by Jason Manford.
His shows have also been met with acclaim at Edinburgh Festival and he has supported the likes of Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones.
Alfie’s comedy career peaked when his BBC Radio 4 show, It’s a fair cop, written and presented by himself became a much-loved success, in its seventh series.
Tickets are now on sale for the show. Call box office on 01925 442345 or visit pyramid.culturewarrington.org/whats-on/alfie-moore-a-face-for-radio/
