SUCCESS continues for a Great Sankey hairdresser who has been listed as a finalist for a prestigious hair styling award.

Victoria Stafford expressed her overwhelming ‘pride’ at the news that she will be in the running for the top spot as Hair Extensions Specialist of the Year.

Having worked in several salons and taught the skill of hairdressing in various colleges in Warrington, Victoria plucked up the courage to start her own business in 2021, Hair by Victoria Elizabeth, now based in Winwick.

The award finalist said how her passion for hair dressing stemmed from her mum who was also a hairdresser.

“It is in my blood, I love being behind the chair,” she said.

Having worked within the industry for more than 25 years, Victoria entered the UK hair and beauty awards earlier this year, submitting her life’s work into a portfolio to be scrutinised by a professional judging panel.

But to her pleasant surprise, she was placed 12th in the whole of the north west for her talent and expertise within the specialism of hair extensions.

Speaking on her victory, she said: “It is amazing. I am so proud of my small business.

“My hard work and love for hairdressing is being recognised. My clients and family are all so proud too.”

She is now a finalist for the same title at the prestigious awards in 2024.
