UPDATE: POLICE have issued a heartbreaking update here.
A LARGE emergency service presence has been reported in Sankey Bridges this morning, Friday.
Cheshire Police are in attendance off Forrest Way as they search for a missing person.
At least four police cars have been reported at the scene as Cheshire Police look for a missing woman on the Trans Pennine Trail and surrounding areas.
Thea Newton, age 29, was last seen at around 1.30am this morning at her home address in Warrington, but she has not been seen since.
Her car was found parked near Sunflower Drive, and officers, along with search and rescue teams and the drone, are currently making search of the area.
Thea is described as being 5ft 10ins tall, with long blonde hair and of slim build. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a multi-coloured pattern on the back of it.
Inspector Daniel Richardson said: “We are increasingly concerned for her welfare and are currently searching for her.
“If you are out on the Trans Pennine Way or surrounding area and see a woman fitting this description, please contact us.
“Her family and friends are extremely worried about her and just want her home safely.
“I would also appeal directly to Thea, please let us know you are okay. We are all very worried about you and want to get you back to your family.”
