PAEDOPHILES who raped children, migrants who entered the UK illegally and then broke the law, and two brute brothers were among the Warrington criminals brought to justice in May.

Every month, the Warrington Guardian takes a look back at some of the court cases that have been featured in the paper in the weeks previously.

Other defendants appearing during May included a careless driver who seriously injured a pensioner, knifemen and serial reoffenders.

A Warrington dad was found with a disgusting haul of child abuse images and sexualised chat log messages.

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: "The chat logs reveal Jones has an obsession with the physical abuse of children by spanking.”

The horrible child rapist told his eight-year-old victim 'Father Christmas wouldn't come' if she didn't perform sexual actions on him.

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID:  “You exploited them, and you abused them. There is some cunning and some guile in convincing the girl to do what he wanted them to do.”
