AN inquest has opened into the death of a missing man who was found dead at a Warrington park.
Cheshire Police found the body of Lukasz Renn at Bennett’s Recreation Ground, off Blackbrook Avenue near Padgate train station, on May 1, this year.
At the time, the 27-year-old, from Hammersley Avenue, Clock Face in St Helens, had been reported missing from home by Merseyside Police.
Today, Wednesday, Warrington Coroners’ Court opened an inquest into Mr Renn’s death.
His body was identified by his wife, Tycjana.
“The cause of the death is under investigation,” area coroner for Cheshire Victoria Davies told the court.
“The cause of his death is unknown.”
A review into the case will be held on August 30.
A full inquest hearing has been listed for October 25.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police issued the following statement: “At around 7am on Monday, May 1, Cheshire Police were contacted by colleagues at Merseyside Police, who asked officers to search an area in Padgate as part of a search for a missing man.
“The man was sadly located dead in the area.
“His death is not believed to be suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.”
