FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a kitchen fire in Orford yesterday, Friday.
One fire engine was dispatched from Warrington Fire Station to the home on Fisher Avenue at 9.29pm, along with paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.
The crew managed to put out the fire on arrival, which started when items left on or near the stovetop caught light.
Officers then used a fan to clear the smoke from the home.
The occupier of the home was looked after by the fire crew until paramedics arrived, who then carried out further assessments.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a small fire in the kitchen of a property on Fisher Avenue, Warrington.
"The incident occurred on Friday, May 19, at 9.29pm.
“Crews put out the fire, which involved items left on top of a cooker, then used a large fan to clear smoke.
“The occupant of the property was cared for by firefighters until they were handed over to paramedics for checks.”
