TWO brothers have opened a shop in Earlestown.
Ryan and Jordan Pickavance set up One Kind Gifts and Supplies as an online business in 2021, with the business starting as a personalised slates shop before additional items such as 3D products were introduced.
As the business expanded, the pair moved into multiple offices before securing the current premises on Market Street.
The shop had a successful opening day on Saturday, May 13, with local councillors and Mayor of St Helens Councillor Sue Murphy attending the launch.
Discussing the store’s debut in the town centre, Ryan, 34, said: "It was amazing, there were usually about 15 people in at any one time.
"We were run off our feet. The mayor and councillors thought it was a really good addition; there’s nothing like it here which they were happy with."
The family-run business offers a range of items including 3D products, created by Jordan, who has a background in 3D printing.
The 29-year-old shared how 3D products have "took off", with more items to be introduced in the store in the near future.
Jordan added: "Some of the machinery we’ve got will blow people’s minds when they see what we are going to be doing."
The brothers also shared how other Earlestown businesses have welcomed them onto Market Street, with the regeneration of the town centre also an appealing factor for the business partners.
Ryan, who has a background in business management, said: "It’s one of the reasons why we moved here.
"I want to be here when people come here to see Earlestown rather than leaving to go to other places.
"It’s nice to be a part of the community again in a whole different capacity.
"Please come in and have a look at what we do; it’s hard to get your head around 3D printing and this is one of the conversations we had with the councillors; we want people to come in and look."
Jordan added: "Everyone’s lovely around here; it’s nice to have that and we can’t thank them enough."
