A WHITE Mercedes was seized by motorway police after it sped past two police cars.
The vehicle was clocked by traffic officers as it sped past at 117mph - almost 50mph above the speed limit.
As per social media, the vehicle was seen speeding on the M6 northbound between Junction 18 and Junction 19, which is Knutsford Services.
The car was stopped on the A556 sliproad.
According to North West Motorway Police, the car was being driven by a 20-year-old who was not insured to be driving the Mercedes.
The Mercedes was seized by the police, and the driver has been reported for all offences related to this incident.
A post was shared on social media by North West Motorway Police, which reads: "This Mercedes sped past two marked Cheshire Motorway Police cars M6 northbound 18 to 19 paced up to 117 mph. It was stopped on the A556 exit slip.
"20-year-old driver not insured - car recovered and driver reported for all offences."
