ELDERYLY care home residents joined the excited pupils of a primary school in Penketh for a royal tea party to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III.
Penketh South Community school hosted a string of activities to celebrate the historic event which took place on Saturday May 6.
The pupils came together with residents of Meadowview Care Home for a special afternoon of music, dancing, food and even a moment to sing the national anthem.
Plenty of union jack flags could be seen waving and many of the children wore crowns for the occasion.
On Friday, May 5, the mayor of Warrington, Cllr Jean Flaherty paid a visit to the school to help pupils complete a tree planting, generously donated by Bold Heath Garden Centre, in honour of King Charles III.
The PTFA also gave each pupil a seed packet of beautiful wildflowers to plant at home to continue the theme of conservation work – a passion of the King’s.
