ROAST beef or roast chicken? Lamb or pork? A Yorkshire pudding with every meat or just roast beer?
What makes the perfect roast dinner? Lashings of gravy and two types of vegetables? Crispy roast potatoes or creamy mash?
Where in Warrington serves the best roast dinner?
It’s a tradition that dates back hundreds of years to King Henry VII’s rule in the 15th Century – the roast dinner.
Originally eaten after church on a Sunday, the British classic is eaten by millions every week - for lunch or dinner – and everyone has their own take on what should be served.
In our Best of 2023 competition, we’ve searched for Warrington’s Best for Hair, Best for Pies and Best for Nails and our latest category will focus on roast dinners.
We know there are lots of great places serving delicious roast dinners in Warrington so, let us know who deserves to be featured in our final shortlist and why.
It’s no easy feat to choose a winner, which is why we’ll be handing over the final decision to those who know best – our readers.
HOW IT WORKS:
Each Friday morning we will reveal new categories via our social media pages and ask you who is the best. Nominations will then close each Monday morning at 12pm.
Every Thursday we will publish a shortlist of finalists with voting officially opening.
You will be able to vote in one of three ways:
- By commenting under the relevant post on our Warrington Guardian Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages = 1 vote
- By entering via the online article on our Warrington Guardian website = 2 votes
- By entering via our Warrington Guardian newspaper = 5 votes
The following Wednesday evening we will announce the winner of that category on social media.
Usual Newsquest competition rules apply.
