A GENEROUS donation has been provided by Warrington’s Amazon fulfilment centre to help a significant and life-saving charity continue its services.
The Burtonwood centre handed over a considerate donation to The North West Air Ambulance Charity who require an outstanding £12million to be raised each year to keep their vital services running.
Radek Stegbauer, General Manager at Amazon in Warrington, said: “North West Air Ambulance is an incredible charity.
“The charity’s team and volunteers are a lifeline for people here in Warrington and across the North West and we’re pleased to make this donation in support of their positive impact on our community.”
The service provides helicopters and ‘critical care vehicles’ which operate all year round, along with a team of highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics who provide ‘advanced pre-hospital care’ to the Northwest region.
The charity is not part of the NHS and doesn’t receive any government funding. They rely completely on public and corporate donations to carry on saving lives.
Chris Andrews, Corporate Partnership Officer at the North West Air Ambulance Charity said:
“Thank you to James and the team at Amazon for recognising and acknowledging our work with this donation. This donation will help our wonderful team continue their lifesaving efforts.”
The donation to North West Air Ambulance Charity was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
