A TALENTED stylist has made the final of not one but two hair and beauty awards.
Danielle Howarth opened Danielle Louise Hair Design at Park Manor in Victoria Park on Knutsford Road exactly two years ago and she’s blazed a trail when it comes to making a good first impression in the industry.
After becoming a finalist in two categories – best salon and hair stylist of the year – at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards, the 35-year-old has made it into the area’s top 10 for each award.
Danielle qualified from hairdressing at the age of 17 after doing an apprenticeship in a salon in Stockton Heath.
She worked her way up to salon manager until the salon closed and then decided to go self-employed, which she did for six years and then opened her own salon in April 2021.
Danielle said: “I was extremely proud to have made it as a finalist in such a prestigious competition and then to be told I had made the top 10 in the district is incredible.
“As a one-woman business, I work on a one-to-one basis with each client so it’s been solely down to be to get this far - I have no staff to fall back on.
“My fabulous family and wonderful clients are my biggest supporters.
“I wouldn't have had the confidence to enter the awards or set up my own boutique salon without them.”
Danielle is no stranger to winning awards having received a bronze award for colour technician of the year, and silver honours for hairstylist of the year and self-employed individual of the year in the British Hair and Beauty Awards in 2021.
She has made the finals in this year’s competition with the final taking place in August and has also made the shortlist for the second year in a row in the Warrington Guardian Best for Hair 2023 search.
