A GROUP of adult learners will be putting their massage skills to the test this week in a bid to raise money for charity.
Six students have been attending a level three beauty therapy massage course with Cheshire Training Academy since the beginning of February.
The women have organised a charity afternoon and evening of massage treatments tomorrow, Wednesday, where visitors can receive an Indian head massage, full body massage or hot stone massage as well as pre-blended aromatherapy in return for a donation to CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young.
Claire Gregory, who has been running the course, said: “My students have worked so hard over the last few months, going back to college and retraining in a new field of work.
“As part of their assessment, the learners have planned a promotional salon day offering a range of treatments in the hope of raising money for charity.
“The group chose CRY as one of the women lost their partner a few years ago when he suffered a cardiac arrest while playing rugby.
“We hope they can raise lots of money for such a worthy cause.”
The event will be held at Cheshire Training Academy at Unit 4, John Street in Warrington from midday onwards.
Donations can be made with cash or card on the day.
