A COFFEE shop in Penketh has reopened after being closed for more than five months.
CJ's Coffee House and Tearoom has been closed since October, but reopened on Monday, March 20.
The coffee shop was forced to close in Autumn due to structural issues at the site.
Problems for the coffee shop surrounded a leak in the roof that caused damage to the premises.
CJ's Coffee House was voted as Warrington's best venue for afternoon tea in the Warrington Guardian for 2022.
Problems arose for the coffee shop in October last year, with the owners providing the following update in November: "It's incredibly frustrating being stuck with these problems that were completely avoidable had previous works been completed correctly however they weren't, we don't know who was responsible for them so there is no point in getting wound up over that. We can but move forward.
"Again I am sorry we don't have any more good news but this is not the end for CJ's!"
Since then, updates have been few and far between. Until now.
Taking to social media, the coffee shop announced that it had a successful 'soft launch' and is now fully ready to reopen.
CJ's Coffee Shop said: "We are back to our normal hours and have been working really hard to improve the availability of some of our most popular items, after the Easter holidays we are hoping to extend out hours for a few months as well.
"The menu remains unchanged and that goes for the prices too, so it's like a little time capsule.
"Obviously we live in a very different economic climate than we did last year so we are having to review our prices and unfortunately we wont be able to hold them indefinitely but it feels right to do so for now."
The owners added: "Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last five months."
CJ's Coffee House and Tearoom can be found on Warrington Road, Penketh.
