BENTS Garden and Home has announced that it is a finalist in the 2023 north west Family Business Awards.
The garden centre is a finalist in the 'Best retailer and e-tailer' category in this year's awards.
The first-class event will be held at the Concorde Conference Centre, and will be co-hosted by Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth of the Family Business Community, alongside renowned food and drink writer, and presenter Nigel Barden.
It is due to take place on Friday, May 19.
Matthew Bent, managing director at Bents Garden and Home, said: "The whole philosophy of our business is of family and people feeling part of something special, so to be recognised as a finalist in these awards is a fantastic recognition for all of our colleagues.
"We’re looking forward to meeting fellow family business finalists, and will be keeping our fingers crossed."
Co-founder and director of the Family Business Community, Sue Howarth, said: "We were inundated with some incredible entries, and we have been burning the midnight oil to get through them as they came in right up to the wire.
"The judges had extremely difficult decisions to make so the finalists should be extremely proud of themselves!"
Dave Clarkson, who is also co-founder, added: "A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to fill out an application form and enter.
"We’ve been absolutely blown away by the strength and diversity of applications.”
The winners will be announced at the ceremony in May.
