NEW food hygiene ratings have been given to a well known hotel on the outskirts of Warrington.
From a score of zero to five, food hygiene ratings are given to food handling businesses after an inspection has assessed how well they comply with food safety laws.
The rating reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of the inspection by the local authority.
Greyhound Hotel
The Greyhound Hotel, on Warrington Road, near Glazebury, was given a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating from its inspection on January 23.
The hotel restaurant's management of food safety was rated as needing "Major Improvement Necessary" in the inspection.
Inspectors found that the cleanliness and condition of the building and the businesses' hygienic food handling also needed improvements.
