A WARNING has been issued by one of the country's largest rail operators ahead of reduced timetables this week.
Northern has warned commuters in Warrington to continue checking timetables ahead of travelling on their reduced services during days of industrial action this week.
The regional director for the rail operator has explained that it will be providing 'skeleton services.'

Strike action taken by the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) will happen on Thursday, March 16, and Saturday, March 18.
Due to an ongoing dispute regarding pay and working conditions, the RMT continues to take industrial action, which is causing disruption to rail services.
As a result of the strikes on these days, train services will run on a 12-hour timetable, from 7am until 7pm.
Northern's regional director, Chris Jackson, said: "We’re expecting the skeleton services we can run to be very busy – so customers should plan ahead and check before they travel.
“Given the reduced timetable only runs until 7pm, I’m very keen to stress that people should check their ‘last train home’ on those dates – so that customers don’t find themselves stranded at the wrong end of the line as a result of this action by the RMT.”
