AN election to fill the vacancy on Warrington Borough Council left by the death of Les Morgan is set to take place next month.
Former Mayor Cllr Morgan sadly died in January.
Nomination papers need to be served by next Wednesday, March 22 for those wishing to contest his former seat of Latchford West. If an election is called it will be held on Thursday, April 20.
The last election in Latchford West was tight in 2021 with Labour winning it by less than 100 votes from the Conservatives.
Meanwhile a notice of election has also been served for Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council.
Nominations also need to be served by March 22 with any election held on April 20.
The Liberal Democrats won two seats on the parish council ahead of the Conservatives when a by-election was held in September.
