GREAT Sankey is set to play host once more to a treasure trove of artisan markets.
The markets will descend once more upon the car park of the Woodlands Pub, and just in time for Mother's Day, too.
Hosted as a collaboration between Independent Street and Great Sankey Parish Council, the artisan markets are set to bring more than 70 traders to the area.
The markets will take place on Saturday, March 18, and they are set to be 'packed to the rafters' with independent traders.
Speaking to the Warrington Guardian, Lisa Cowley from Independent Street said: "This month, a big shout out to all the amazing ladies and mothers this March.
"Grandmothers, great-grandmothers, foster mothers, mothers-to-be, step-mothers, dog mums, mums who are no longer with us, and all of the awesome ladies in our lives."
Lisa added: "Independent Street is the perfect place to shop and mooch and just spend some time with the people who matter.
"Pop along and join us, it is a superb opportunity to find out the origins of your food, meet our makers, feast your eyes upon some goodies and fill those shopping bags whilst indulging in some good conversations with our team and traders."
The markets are always free to enter, and there will be live music on offer too, as well as face painting for the smaller visitors to the markets.
According to Independent Street, some of the traders will be offering: "Local arts, photography and artisan candles, freshly roasted coffee beans, Thai street food, Gyros and halloumi fries, wax melts, cheese truckles, handmade chutneys, chilli sauces, doughnuts, Easter eggnog, vegan treats."
The artisan markets will be open from 10am until 4pm, and will be found at the Woodlands Pub off Liverpool Road in Great Sankey on Saturday, March 18.
The Great Sankey markets are dog-friendly.
