EMMA Leanne Smith is a hopeless romantic who believes in happily ever after.
This is at the very heart of the beautiful floral displays she creates every day for weddings and christenings, parties and festivals up and down the country.
Event Cheshire was born in 2019 and Emma has spent the past four years fine tuning her skills to produce Instagram-worthy and Pinterest-worthy masterpieces.
Here, in our latest Trader of the Week feature, Emma tells us why she didn’t want to go back to her job in the corporate sector after having a baby and how much she enjoys helping customers achieve their floral goals.

What do you do? What services do you provide?
We’re not just your average venue stylist! We are floral architects who have been featured in a number of wedding magazines and newspaper articles over the past few years. Not satisfied with setting the world of weddings ablaze, we are determined to transform local businesses into trend setting, taggable venues that has customers dying to brag about their location. Trust us when we say that we have taken that perfect Instagram pose to new heights with our floral fantasia installations and have a portfolio that will make your toes tingle. We are proud to be able to say that we have won a variety of awards and accolades including County Brides North West Wedding Award Business of the Year 2022. We were also the exclusive designer at Chester Races Boodles Festival and we’ve featured in Cheshire Life magazine twice. We have worked exclusively with White Cube, London Art Gallery for their summer exhibition.
Why did you decide to open your own business?
Following a traumatic birth with my son who spent time in Warrington Hospital’s amazing NICU ward, I realised that I could no longer return to a corporate world which was restrictive with regards to my work home life balance. While creating an elaborate christening celebration for him, I realised that this event had ignited a creative passion within me and from this moment Event Cheshire was born.
Why this type of business?
I am passionate about creating unforgettable memories and experiences for our clients. I recognise that I am extremely privileged to their forever moment. I genuinely love the love. I’m a hopeless romantic who believes in happily ever after and I love creating beautiful spaces.
Were you open before/during/after the Covid-19 pandemic? How did this affect your business?
The pandemic meant that we were unable to deliver any events or weddings. During this period, the floral architecture side of the business flourished with local businesses such as Parrs Bank recognising the importance of creating beautiful spaces for their customers to enjoy and truly experience their services. We have been thrilled to have been able to create some gorgeous floral architecture designs across the town.
