ARRANGEMENTS have been confirmed for the funeral of Frank Hawley, the former match official and schoolteacher.
Frank, who died on Saturday, March 4, aged 71, was a touch judge and latterly a timekeeper at the highest level of rugby league, while he taught art, religious education, maths and rugby league at Cardinal Newman High School for 38 years.
For Frank's funeral, requiem mass will take place at SS Peter & Michael Catholic Church, Weir Lane, Woolston on Monday, April 3, at 11am.
The service will continue at Walton Lea Crematorium at 12.40pm, with family and friends then gathering to celebrate Frank's life and raise a glass to him at Tetley Walkers Club, Long Lane, on what would have been his 72nd birthday.

The family have said that Frank's service will be streamed for those who are not able to attend. Details will be announced in due course.
Knox & Son Funeral Directors have opened a page where tributes can be left for Frank.
The family would like people to visit the page and leave comments or share stories, photos and memories of him. Donations can also be made on the page for St Rocco's Hospice.
