A DRIVER delivering food to an address was caught by officers driving along the pavement last night.
The owner of a Nissan pixo was stopped by an on-duty officer whilst driving along Wilson Patten Street in the town centre at approximately 11:00pm.
Upon further investigation Cheshire Police discovered the driver had no valid insurance or MOT.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Perhaps the driver shouldn’t have been driving along the pavement if they wanted to avoid the attention of AS/Sgt Hendry."
Contrary to popular belief, you do need insurance to drive for food deliveries….. and an MOT is useful too. Perhaps the driver shouldn’t have been driving along the pavement if they wanted to avoid the attention of AS/Sgt Hendry of @CheshPolSC pic.twitter.com/r1Vzx2mLPv
