AN all-day gin festival is coming to Birchwood next month.

The event will be hosted by Birchwood Golf Club, and is set to take place on Saturday, March 11.

It is expected to last for seven hours, between 1pm and 8pm on Saturday.

There will be lots on offer throughout the day, with tickets already on sale for the event.

Included in the ticket price will be a complimentary gin glass, with a reusable straw, plus one raffle ticket which will give you a chance to win the star prize.

This year's top prize in the raffle is a spa day for two people, featuring a 55-minute treatment, plus a 'sparkling afternoon tea.'

The spa day will take place at Mere Golf Resort, a four-star hotel off Chester Road, in Knutsford.

Announcing the event on the golf club's website, the organisers said: "Chin chin, let there be gin!"

There will also be live music throughout the day, which includes a pianist as well as a singer, too.

The 'Gin and Fizzfest' will take place at Birchwood Gold Club, off Kelvin Close, on Saturday, March 11, between 1-9pm.
