A MAN from Runcorn remains in hospital following a major crash on the M56 near Lymm.
The collision took place on Monday, January 30, at approximately 6.55am.
According to Cheshire Constabulary, the incident involved a Mercedes A Class, a Marcedes flat bed van, and a blue McLaren 720S.
The driver of the Mercedes A Class remains in hospital, and has been identified as a 48-year-old man from Runcorn.
His condition is described as 'life-threatening.'
Police are appealing for anyone with further information to come forward.
Police Constable Orren Williams said: “We have been following a number of enquiries to establish what took place following the collision and are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“This stretch of carriageway would have been extremely busy at this time and I know that there would have been a lot of people making their commutes to work.
“As such I would ask anyone who may have seen the vehicles involved before the collision or perhaps witnessed the collision to get in touch.
“The same goes to anyone who may have information or may have dashcam footage that they believe could assist us in piecing together what happened.”
