AN inquest has opened into the death of a HGV driver killed in a crash at Croft Interchange on the M62.
Shahram Allahyar died at junction 10 after his HGV was involved in a collision with another HGV, Warrington Coroners Court heard on Wednesday.
The 53-year-old, from Fern Grove, Toxteth in Liverpool, was killed in the early hours of Tuesday, January 31.
Cheshire Police appealed for witnesses after one of the vehicles caught fire following the collision at 4.37am.
Heath Westerman, assistant coroner for Cheshire, opened the inquest on Wednesday, February 15.
The case will be reviewed on March 24 and the inquest will be heard in Warrington at a date to be confirmed.
