A VIGIL has been announced that will take place in Warrington to remember Brianna Ghey.
Brianna was tragically murdered on Saturday, February 11, and her body was found in Culcheth Linear Park.
Vigils have been announced to take place around the country to mark the shocking and tragic death of the 16-year-old from Birchwood.
A memorial vigil will take place in Culcheth on Friday, February 17, at 6.30pm.
It is expected to take place on Culcheth Village Green.
Brianna's body was discovered with multiple stab wounds at the scene in Culcheth Liner Park, with the Birchwood High School student being pronounced dead at the scene.
Cheshire Police confirmed on Sunday night, February 12, that two 15-year-olds had been arrested on suspicion of Brianna's murder.
On Tuesday, February 14, Cheshire Police announced that permission had been granted to hold the teenagers in question for a further 30 hours to comply with further police questioning.
The constabulary also confirmed on Tuesday that all avenues are being explored into the 'targeted' attack on Brianna.
It was confirmed that detectives are exploring whether Brianna's murder was a hate crime, given that she was trans.
Cheshire Police are urging individuals not to speculate about Brianna's death.
