WE'VE all been there.
You've found something lying around at home that could probably do with a bit of TLC, but you just cannot be bothered to fix it.
So what do you do? Go to chuck it out, of course.
Stop. Hold it. Put the brakes on. Back up.
There's another way - and here it is.
Birchwood's Repair Cafe is back, and the team of dedicated volunteers are ready to assist you with any repairs that you want to challenge them to.
No job is too small for the volunteers, but they're keen to point out that they aren't miracle workers.
However, the scheme was set up in order to allow residents to bring items to be repaired, which will in turn be beneficial for the environment - making items last longer means not buying as many products, which is in turn better for the planet.
Most of us will have heard the phrase "Reduce, reuse, recycle," and that is exactly what the Repair Cafe allows residents to do.
Whether you've got a busted bike, or junkyard jewellery, the team of volunteers are happy to turn their hands to whatever it is you can bring along.
The Repair Cafe is run from Birchwood Youth and Community Centre, on Delenty Drive, every third Saturday of the month.
In its latest session, the cafe will be open from 10am until 1pm on Saturday, February 18.
On offer at the community centre will be hot drinks and homemade cakes, too - which will help to pass the time while the diligent volunteers fix your items.
Posting on social media, Birchwood Repair Cafe said: "It's Birchwood Repair Cafe again next Saturday, with a fabulous team of repairers, and Jackie's delicious home-made cakes.
"We fix gadgets, laptops, small appliances, bikes, clothes, fashion jewellery, and toys... all free of charge.
"Donations welcome but not essential."
