Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is hosting a Recruitment Day with more than 200 job vacancies up for grabs.
The jobs are with a number of companies based at the airport and the Recruitment Day comes in time for the busy summer season which starts in March.
The Recruitment Day will take place in the terminal building on Tuesday, February 14 from 10am until 4pm.
A host of employers based at the airport will be present on the day and they’ll be looking to fill mainly full-time roles.
Employers include handling agent Swissport, aviation security company Wilson James, catering company SSP, passenger assistance company ABM and retailers such as Boots and duty-free shop operator Dufry.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport Recruitment Day – Who is welcome?
LJLA is welcoming anyone who has an interest in a career at the airport.
Those who attend will be able to talk to representatives from each of the companies that are looking to recruit employees.
Some employers are looking to undertake interviews on the day too.
Appointments do not need to be booked in advance.
A variety of job opportunities are currently available with roles such as aviation security officers, handling agent passenger services roles, baggage handling, passenger assistance for people with disabilities, catering and related front-of-house roles, bar work and retail work all on offer.
Last year, the airport held a similar event and almost 1,000 people attended with some even queuing out the door.
The success of the 2022 event meant staffing levels across the business were in place in time for the busy Summer season.
The airport has received a number of awards including the Best UK Airport accolade in the 2022 Which? Airport Survey.
For those wishing to use public transport to travel to the event, a number of bus services call at the airport, whilst nearby Liverpool South Parkway provides a link to the region’s rail network for anyone travelling here from further afield. Complimentary parking will also be available for those travelling by car.
