A NEW steakhouse in the centre of Warrington is celebrating being the town's highest-rated eatery.

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse opened in November, and is already the top-rated eatery in Warrington.

Specialising in premium barbecued meats, the steakhouse has clearly proved popular with guests.

Not only this, but the restaurant - as of Boxing Day - was ranked as number one in the whole of Cheshire on TripAdvisor.

It is no surprise, then, that the restaurant says it has had the 'best Christmas present' in the form of its newly-earned title as 'Warrington's best restaurant' according to TripAdvisor.

The steakhouse is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, with members of staff bringing a selection of barbecued meats straight to your table, which they then carve off the bone and onto your plate.

As well as this, the restaurant features a fully-stocked salad bar, boasting a selection of greens, as well as cured meats, cheeses, rice, roast potatoes, bacon, and even sushi.

We reviewed the restaurant on its opening night, and the service was superb - clearly that has been maintained, as customers cannot get enough of the eatery.

The steakhouse is located in the site that formerly housed eateries such as Prezzo and Dough Dough, but it looks as though Rio could be here to stay, given its popularity among locals.

It is not just TripAdvisor that hosts rave reviews for Rio, with the restaurant being rated five out of five on Google Reviews, too.

One review says: "Fantastic Service. Warm and very welcoming. Fresh steaks and cuts are brought to your table - a great concept here."

Another guest, Fiona, said in her review: "All the meat was cooked beautifully, the buffet bar was really nice with lots to choose from and they had the best selection of 'mocktails' I have seen on a menu.

"Will definitely go again!"

A third review concurred with the others, adding: "It’s a fantastic addition to this corner of Warrington.

"The staff are incredibly attentive and welcoming with top quality food to match."

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse celebrated the news, posting on social media: "After opening less than a month ago we've claimed the top spot as the number one restaurant in Warrington on TripAdvisor!

"Thank you to everyone who has helped us get there and our amazing staff providing the best service in Warrington."
