A SCOUTING group in east Warrington has raised more than £30,000 in order to get to the World Scouting Jamboree in 2023.
The international festival will be held in Saemangeum, South Korea, hosted by the Korea Scout Association with the theme 'Draw Your Dream.'
World Scouting Jamborees are held once every four years, with the last one taking place in 2019, in Canada.

The festivals are a celebration of the international scouting community, and are visited by thousands of scouts wherever they are held.
Warrington East District Scout Council has been raising money throughout 2022 in order to send a group of scouts from Lymm, Thelwall and Grappenhall, Hollins Green, Glazebrook, and Woolston to the South Korean province in August 2023 for the 25th international scouting jamboree.
According to the UK Scout Association, 'more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world will gather in Korea for the 25 World Scout Jamboree.'
As of December 2022, the scouting group has raised more than £30,000 to send the group across the world to celebrate the scouting movement.
The group has raised thousands of pounds through fundraising via cake sales, car washes, and even babysitting throughout the year.
Now, the group's next planned fundraiser will take place at the end of January 2023 in a bid to raise even more money to support their international expedition.
On Friday, January 20, the group will take part in a sponsored walk that will visit nearly every scout centre in their district, spanning a trail that will stretch nearly 20 miles long.
The sponsored walk has already raised nearly £200, with the group aiming to get the fundraising pot for the walk up to £1,000 by the time the walk is completed in the early hours of Saturday, January 21.

Warrington East District Scout Council's fundraising page says: "If you can sponsor [our Scouts] as they take on this challenge then everything you can give will help send our young people on this trip of a lifetime, representing Warrington East, Cheshire and the UK in the worldwide family of scouts and bringing back their experiences of a lifetime to help enrich scouting for young people in our area and to inspire the next generation of scouts to think big and dream wild."
The Lymm scouting group will take on their sponsored walk on Friday, January 20, at 7.30pm, and will continue into the early hours of Saturday, January 21, 2023.
If anyone has any fundraising opportunities for the scouts or would like to support them in any way, they can get in contact with Nikkicattrell@hotmail.com.
