AN inquest has been opened into the death of a three-month-old child in Fearnhead.
An inquest opening at Warrington Coroners Court named the child as Oakley Bamba.
The opening confirmed that Oakley died on February 12 this year, after being found at his home address in Libson Close, Warrington.
Cheshire area coroner Claire Welch heard how Oakley was found unresponsive by his mother, who called emergency services.
The three-month-old baby was then taken to Warrington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that day.
Ms Welch confirmed that a case review has been set for March 29, and an inquest is set to take place on June 16.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said:
"At around 4.20am on Saturday 12 February police were informed by paramedics that a child had been found unresponsive at an address on Lisbon Close, Warrington.
"The three-month old boy was taken to Warrington District General Hospital by paramedics but sadly, despite the best efforts of all those involved, he was pronounced dead.
"The cause of the death is not believed to be suspicious and officers have prepared a case file for the coroner."
