A SERIOUS collision on the M56 westbound this afternoon has lead to the closure of junctions 8 & 9 near Lymm Services.
Police, the Fire and ambulance services have been called to attendance of the crash in which a vehicle has overturned.
Further details of the incident are unconfirmed but due to the closures of both junctions it is advised to stay clear of the area.
The emergency services are still in attendance of the incident but National Highways have stated the area is expected to be clear between 20:45pm and 21:00pm.
