WARRINGTON has woken up to a winter wonderland this morning as snow has began to fall.
The Met Office have issued a yellow warning for snow and ice stating that some disruption is likely due to icy surfaces on roads and paths.
The forecast for the day predicts light snow up until 9:00am, with sleet showers to follow through to 2:00pm.
Further predictions from the national weather service say it will be overcast for the remainder of the day.
It is advisable to wrap up warm as the temperature is not expected to move above 2C for the day.
