A DRIVER was taken to hospital following a crash on the M62 this morning, Thursday.
Police and ambulance were on the scene following the incident on the eastbound carriageway between junction 11 at Birchwood and 12 at Eccles around 8.30am.
Lanes three and four were closed for around an hour but the road is now clear.
However long delays of 40 minutes were reported back to junction 10.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Officers were called at around 8.30am today (Thursday 8 December) to the M62 between junction 11 and junction 12 following reports of a collision involving a HGV and Mercedes sprinter box van.
"The driver of the box van was taken to Salford Royal with minor injuries."
