A MAN has been spared jail after exposing himself to a female worker in a shop in Warrington.

The court heard how Jack Evans entered the Three network store at lunchtime and was greeted by an employee who after some discussions asked to see the defendant’s Identification which led to him exposing his genitals.

Evans, 30, of Oaks Caravan Park, Abingdon, in Oxfordshire, appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday after being found guilty of exposure at a trial last month.

Prosecuting, Laura Simpson said the incident occurred on March 1 this year.

She said that after Evans had initially exposed his genitals to the member of staff upon reaching for his wallet when he was asked to show a form of identification, the defendant was then asked to take a seat in the shop by the employee.

After sitting down the Three employee began to try to help Evans with the issue he had initially entered into the shop for.

Going onto her computer, before she looked over to see the horrific sight of Evans rubbing his genitals with his hand with a ‘sinister’ look upon his face.

The police were then alerted which brought Evans before the court on Monday.

Evans still denies all the claims that he exposed himself to the member of staff, despite the conviction.

Concluding, Judge James Clarke handed Evans a one-year probation order.

He was also given 20 days of rehabilitation, 100-hours of unpaid work and £200 compensation charges to the victim and a following £300 in further charges.
